Late actress Sridevi’s film ‘English Vinglish’ will release in China on February 24 on the occasion of her fifth death anniversary.
The film will be screened in 6,000 theaters in China. In 2012, the film had its world premiere during the Toronto International Film Festival, where the audience gave a 5-minute standing ovation.
English Vinglish was released on 5 October 2012, marking Sridevi’s return to the screen after 15 years.
English Vinglish was also nominated at the 2013 Oscars.
The comedy-drama film stars Sridevi as a housewife who takes English classes after being pranked by her husband and son.
