London: A small submarine carrying a tourist tour of the Titanic wreck in the Atlantic Ocean went missing along with the crew and tourists, including two Pakistanis.
According to the BBC report, this tourist trip to go to the bottom of the sea was conducted by ‘Ocean Gate’ to see the remains of the Titanic ship that sank in 1912.
The tour company charged $250 per tourist for this tour. However, this submarine went missing and contact with the company was lost.
Oceangate’s Titan Submersible is small in size and can carry 5 people and has a 4 day oxygen reserve.
Despite the assistance of all government agencies and other institutions in the search operation, no success was achieved in re-establishing contact and tracing the submarine.
BBC has claimed that there were two Pakistani father and son in this submarine. CNN quoted the Dawood family’s statement as saying that Prince Dawood and his son Sulaiman Dawood were also traveling in the missing submarine.
Prince Dawood is also a trustee of the SETI Institute in California and vice chairman of the Dawood Hercules Corporation.
