Islamabad: The country’s trade deficit has recorded a significant decline of 40.5 percent on annual basis in the first 11 months of the current financial year.
In the first 11 months of the financial year, the country’s exports recorded a decrease of 12.1 percent on an annual basis, while imports decreased by 29.2 percent.
According to the data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics in this regard, the volume of trade deficit was recorded at 25.82 billion dollars in the period from July to May 2023, which is 40.5% less than the same period of the previous financial year.

In the same period of the last financial year, Pakistan’s trade deficit was recorded at 43.40 billion dollars. 4.136 billion was recorded.
