Peshawar: Mardan Region Excise Department arrested a total of 6 accused and recovered 198 kg of drugs within 24 hours.
According to Excise Spokesman, in a joint operation of Excise Region and Excise Intelligence, the attempt of drug smuggling through Nizampur from Balochistan was foiled.
72 kg of hashish was recovered from the secret compartment of the pick-up Datsun, Shahid Nawaz, a resident of Lucky Marwat, was arrested on the spot.
The spokesman said that the joint teams of Excise Intelligence and Excise Police Station Mardan region took part in the operation, the case of the incident was registered in Excise Police Station Mardan.
