Lahore: A unique snake house has become the center of attention at Lahore’s Wildlife Safari Park where fans can not only see different species of snakes but can also hold them.

According to Express News, there are rare pythons and cobras in the snake house. Children who come to the snake house catch these snakes as toys, play with them and take pictures.

All the snakes kept in the snake house are local and have been caught from different parts of Pakistan, among them is the most dangerous black cobra and according to the organizer it is the biggest cobra snake in Pakistan.

According to the organizers, snakes are a part of our ecosystem, there is a need to create awareness about them and we want to remove the fear in people’s hearts.

Snake House manager Rana Naeem said that the food of these snakes is not very expensive. They are given kidney meat, frog meat and eggs. They do not feel hungry for three to four days after eating food. However, they are very delicate, need to be cared for carefully and protected from cold.

He also said that the non-poisonous snakes kept in the snake house can be caught, but the dangerous poisonous snakes are kept inside glass boxes. If the citizens see a snake in their house or anywhere, do not try to kill it or catch it yourself, it can be dangerous for them. Immediately report the snake to Rescue 1122.

Shahid Mehmood, a snake keeper, says that many fake stories related to snakes are known, there are about 100 species of snakes in Pakistan, only 8 species of snakes are poisonous.
