Quetta: Customs seized smuggled cigarettes worth crores of rupees from a truck on Airport Road Quetta.
According to the Chief Collector of Pakistan Customs Muhammad Salim, in the crackdown against smuggled cigarettes, foreign brand cigarettes worth more than 10 crore rupees were recovered from a truck on Airport Road.
According to the Chief Collector, 17,640 cartons of Benson Hedges, Pine, Milano, Essay, Navy and Mund brands were recovered from the truck.
According to Mohammad Salim, in another operation, 3850 cigarette cartons worth 96 lakhs were recovered from the passenger bus.
He said that the Customs Enforcement authorities are ready for the anti-smuggling campaign.
