The Finance Ministry has said that the budget for the financial year 2023-24 will be presented on June 9.
The annual plan coordination committee meeting has been convened on June 2 and the National Economic Council meeting on June 3.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will preside over the meeting of the National Economic Council.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the GDP growth estimate for the current financial year is 29%, the budget targets for the new financial year 2023-24 will be finalized, 700 billion rupees have been proposed for the federal development program.
The Ministry of Finance says that the Prime Minister can increase the federal development program up to 1000 billion rupees, the total size of the budget for the next financial year is proposed to be more than 14 thousand 600 billion.
Committees have also been set up to provide relief to the people in the budget, the economic growth target for the next year is proposed to be more than three percent.
