Quetta: An attempt to smuggle drugs from Balochistan to Sindh through a fake government vehicle was foiled.

According to the spokesman of the Anti-Narcotics Force, anti-narcotics operations are ongoing in the country and in this regard, the attempt to smuggle drugs from Quetta to Sindh has been foiled.

Acting on a tip-off, ANF recovered a huge quantity of drugs from a fake official vehicle and a person wearing a fake official uniform. During the operation, an attempt was made to stop the fake official Vigo pick-up vehicle through blockade, in which the accused tried to escape by breaking the blockade.

ANF ​​pursued the accused and forcibly stopped the vehicle near Quetta Sabi Road and recovered 700 kg hashish. ANF ​​arrested the accused resident of Quetta, on whose identification, another 100 kg of hashish was recovered from a vehicle with a fake official number plate from Togi Road, Quetta.

Meanwhile, during another operation near Attock Chumach Interchange, 2 kg 460 grams of opium were recovered from the car and 3 accused residents of Attock and Swabi were arrested.

Besides, 24 kg of opium and 18 kg of hashish were recovered from the vehicle near Peshawar Charsadda Road. Cases have been registered against the accused in all the proceedings. ANF ​​has started an investigation.
