Zurich: American-born Swiss singer, dancer and actress Tina Turner has died at the age of 83.
The singer’s spokesperson confirmed the death of Tina Turner, saying that she had been ill for a long time and died at her home near Zurich, Switzerland.
Turner was considered one of the great singers of rock while also known as a charismatic actress.
With Tina Turner, the music legend and role model’s chapter has come to an end, the spokesperson said.
The American-born star was one of the most beloved female rock singers, known for her stage presence and hits including The Beast, Proud Mary, Private Dancer and What’s I Got To Do With It.
