Indian actress Karisma Tanna, who is active on social media, has revealed that her father did not see her face until a month after her birth because he wanted a son.
According to an interview given to Indian media, Karisma Tana is the younger of two sisters and when the news of her birth was given to her father, he was not happy as he wanted a son.
He said that his mother told him that your father was not happy about your birth and that he was under a lot of pressure from his parents to have a son, as is the case in traditional Gujarati families, that a son is a gift to their generation. He will carry forward and earn more and feed while daughters are a burden.
According to Karisma Tanna, her grandparents’ behavior towards her mother was inappropriate as she gave birth to 2 daughters.
“When my mother told me, I was heartbroken, not because my father didn’t love me, but because his second child was also a girl, and then he asked her for a son,” Karisma Tana said. There was also family pressure due to which he could not even see me, my father loved his daughters but how could he tell this to his family.
He further said that the decision was made that day and told father that I will show everything that a boy can do, I will show it by being your son and I did.
