Quetta: Four people including two children have died and dozens of houses have been damaged due to the heavy rain that has been going on for the last four days in different areas of Balochistan including Quetta.
According to PDMA, 23 districts of Balochistan received rain during the last 24 hours, while more rain is expected in at least 11 districts during the next 24 hours.
Also, according to PDMA Director General Naseer Ahmed, four people have died in rain-related incidents on April 27. He said that one person was killed in a road accident in Turbat, a woman was killed by lightning in Lasbela, and two children were killed by lightning at a house in Khuzdar.
He said that dozens of houses have been damaged due to rain in Panjgur district. According to Director General Naseer Ahmed, PDMA and district authorities have shifted the citizens to safe areas.
He said that at present more than 20 districts of the province are under the influence of monsoon rains. He added that PDMA has already issued an alert and deployed teams.
