Actress Bhumika Chawla, who shot to fame with ‘Tere Naam’ opposite Salman Khan, has revealed that she was fired from ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Manabhai MBBS’.
Actress Bhumika recently revealed in an interview to the Indian media about signing blockbuster movies and then replacing them with other actresses.
Bhumika says that she was signed before Kareena Kapoor in Jab We Met and Gracie Singh in Manabhai MBBS, who were later replaced by other actresses.
Bhumika Chawla added that I have received many offers, I have always been the first choice after Tere Naam. The hero was changed, the title of the film was changed and then the heroine was also changed.
Talking about Imtiaz Ali’s 2007 blockbuster ‘Jab We Met’, Bhumika said she felt bad about being dropped from the film but then she moved on, she doesn’t think much about it.
Bhumika further said that Rajkumar Hirani’s film ‘Manabhai MBBS’ was also signed by her earlier but later Gracie Singh was cast in the film.
Bhumika Chawla said that until now no one has told her the reason for being dropped from the film except Rajkumar Hirani, 10 to 12 years after she was dropped from the film, Raju (Rajkumar Hirani) told her that ‘because of someone else’s mistake you was removed from the film and it happens in the industry.’
