Khyber: National cricket team fast bowler Shaheen Afridi spent Eid-ul-Fitr in the landslide-affected area in Torkham.
Shaheen Afridi went to Torkham after offering Eid prayers in his native area and meeting his near and dear ones, where he reviewed the rescue operations and the damages caused by the landslides.
The fast bowler met the volunteers of the rescue operation organizations and the personnel of the rescue and rehabilitation team of the Pakistan Army and encouraged them.

Shaheen Afridi shared his photos on social networking site Twitter and wrote that ‘I spent my Eid day in the landslide affected area near Torkham, in this sad incident 8 people died while many were injured and many more. There has been a financial breakdown’.

Shaheen Afridi wrote that it is heartening to see that state security agencies, volunteers and other rescue agencies are working round the clock for the last five days to clear the area.
The fast bowler of the national team also paid tribute to the rescue teams in wonderful words.
