Islamabad: During the first 9 months (July to March) of the current fiscal year 2022-23, Pakistan has been revealed to have received a loan of 5 billion dollars less than the previous fiscal year.
Sources say that due to the non-renewal of the program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the government of Pakistan is facing difficulties in obtaining external loans.
The Economic Affairs Division has issued a monthly report on loans, in which it is stated that during the first 9 months (July to March) of the current fiscal year 2022-23, Pakistan received a total loan of 7 billion 76 million dollars.
This volume of loans is 5 billion dollars less than the loans of 12 billion 70 billion dollars received in the same period of the last fiscal year 2021-22.
According to the report, a loan of more than 4 billion 20 million dollars has been received from international financial institutions.
According to the statistics, during the current year, total loans of more than 22 billion dollars were estimated.
In the details of loans received by Pakistan, it is stated that the Asian Development Bank has provided a loan of one billion 94 billion dollars, while the World Bank has given a loan of more than one billion 10 billion dollars and a loan of more than one billion 16 billion dollars from the IMF. found
According to the report, Saudi Arabia has loaned more than $88 million to Pakistan, besides providing more than $78 million for oil facilities and $10 million for project financing.
According to statistics, during the first 9 months of the current financial year (July to March), the government of Pakistan received a loan of 90 million dollars from commercial banks, while more than 61 million dollars have been received from Naya Pakistan Certificate.
