K Electric's request to increase the price of electricity by Rs 4.49 per unit

Karachi: There is bad news for the electricity consumers of Shahr Quaid that K Electric has requested to increase the price of electricity by Rs 4.49 per unit.

K Electric, the electricity provider in Karachi, has filed a March fuel adjustment application with Nepra, according to which permission has been sought to increase the price of electricity by Rs 4 49 paise per unit.

A hearing on K Electric’s application will be held in Nepra on May 3. As a result of the approval of the price increase request, K-electric consumers will have an additional burden of 6 billion 63 crore 60 lakh rupees.
