Three institutions have to remain neutral to save the country, Sirajul Haque

Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Siraj-ul-Haq has said that we wish that a caretaker government should be established in the center and the provinces and then everyone will go to the elections. The solution to the country’s problems lies with the people. The Supreme Court, the establishment and the Election Commission have to remain neutral.

Talking to host Farwa Waheed in Express News’ program ‘Hashtag Politics’, Sirajul Haque said that political parties are only discussing their own problems in the House and no one is raising the problems of the poor.

He said that the problem is not with the government, opposition or political parties but with the common Pakistanis, farmers and villagers, which no one is paying attention to and that is why the people are very worried today.

Sirajul Haque said that ‘I want your children to get peace and justice in the country, get milk like silver and get clean water’. When asked about not protesting against inflation, Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami said that ‘inflation, unemployment and unrest are three genies that have come out of the bottle at this time and are now out of control’.

“This (today’s situation) is the result of the actions of these rulers that we are seeing. The solution to the country’s problems lies with the people and they should be allowed to decide their own destiny.”

He said that “in every case, the loss is of the people, the political leaders are also in conflict with each other and no one is talking about getting out of these problems, the courts have not taken sumoto on the public problems”.

Siraj-ul-Haq said that in the meeting with the Prime Minister, he tried to explain that the situation is very bad and time is running out. We will not accept such results if we do not agree on transparent elections and if we do not settle matters before the elections.

Amir Jamaat-e-Islami said that everyone including Imran Khan, President of Pakistan and Shehbaz Sharif are in agreement that the situation in the country is bad but everyone is hesitant about the way out of it and everyone including the Supreme Court is deadlocked. I have gone where no one knows what will happen tomorrow, so there is a lot of stress and tension in the atmosphere’.

Sirajul Haq said that we are not talking about the establishment but these two parties belong to the establishment and they are all telling that whose general used to support whom and why is he with the other now. Sirajul Haq said that our advice is that the Supreme Court, the establishment and the Election Commission should remain neutral to save the country.
