Former senior military officers announced their support to Imran Khan for supremacy of the constitution

Lahore: Veterans of Pakistan, an unofficial and unregistered organization of ex-officers of the Pakistan Army, has announced its support for Imran Khan for supremacy of the Constitution.

According to Express News, a ten-member delegation of the organization of former senior military officers reached Zaman Park, where they had a detailed meeting with the Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaaf and assured their full support for the supremacy of the Constitution.

Veterans of Pakistan, while expressing serious concern over the efforts of the ruling coalition in the country to intensify the constitutional crisis, strongly condemned the attacks on state institutions, especially the judiciary through the parliament, and by not holding elections within the stipulated period under the constitution. He also expressed deep concern over attempts to sabotage the Constitution.

The delegation also expressed concern over the isolation and rapidly shrinking role of Pakistan at the external level due to its weak and poor foreign policy, while strongly condemning the use of force by the government on its citizens, saying that through The government is fulfilling its ambitions by creating hatred among people and institutions.

The former senior military officers declared their full support to Chairman Imran Khan for the supremacy of the constitution, the rule of law and the role of a solid link between the people and the institutions in the country, while despite the assassination attack, the Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf regarding the security of the state. Negligence called it an attempt to incite chaos.

The delegation demanded that the security of Imran Khan be taken very seriously while also demanding an immediate stop to the promotion of violence and hatred at the state level by imposing restrictions on freedom of expression.

The delegation of veterans also emphasized the need to abandon the efforts to escape from the elections under the guise of unrest by putting the National Action Plan against terrorism on the back burner and clarified that they want to achieve political stability and restore the economy through fair and transparent elections. The chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaaf also fully supports the position.
