New Delhi: Many countries are involved in the race for a covid vaccine and now India has developed a nasal drop vaccine that provides additional (sanitary) protection by reaching the respiratory tract.
Earlier in September 2022, China also developed an inhaled vaccine formulated into a spray. The scientists who made it have said that it is absorbed into the inner layers of the nose and respiratory passages, providing more protection and peace of mind. This is because the covid virus attacks more from this place.
In November 2022, the Indian regulatory bodies approved the new vaccine named iNCOVACC, which is actually a booster dose. It will be given to people who have received two doses of Covexin and Covexin, which are commonly used in India. However, it can also be given in an emergency.
It costs INR 800 for private hospitals and INR 325 for government hospitals and can be purchased through the online platform. Both doses can be administered 28 days apart.
Ancovac Booster contains an adenovirus that contains the genetic code that teaches the body to fight infection.
