Since the arrival of man in this world till today, man has passed through many periods. And every era has been trying to live a better life than before. Allah Ta’ala has blessed man with innumerable abilities, by using which man has advanced so far that he has brought the world under his finger.

When it comes to human evolution, our ancestors’ lifestyles were very different from ours. According to them, there were no rules and regulations for living. They used to hunt animals and feed themselves. There was no concept of wearing clothes on the body, nor the etiquette of leading a disciplined life. The fire on the distant mountains used to be very scary, but as soon as man learned to control fire using his skills, a new era of the world began. When food started to be cooked on fire, all the time that man used to spend only on feeding his stomach, now man started thinking about the universe. He started researching himself and this world.

As time went by, man progressed further and then man entered the industrial age. He built big factories, started agriculture and started making new inventions for his own convenience and today we have entered the era of life which is the era of information, now the importance of the person who has more information is more important. The reason for mentioning all these periods is that in order to attain a better one, one has to leave the old one and only then one can enter a better age.

If I give the example of Muzaffarabad city of Azad Kashmir, then just two decades ago this city was one of the least developed cities, even mobile phone usage was less than ten percent. After the earthquake of October 8, 2005, it seemed that life might not be restored here. But today in 2023, when one compares this city with Muzaffarabad before the earthquake, one is forced to say that this city has become more beautiful and developed than before. The standard of living of the people has also improved a lot. Where all kinds of facilities are now available and work is still going on on various development projects.

From these historical examples, it is clear that change is very important for the development of any society. All the countries of the world, including Pakistan, are facing various kinds of changes since last few years. In Pakistan, Imran Khan started to raise the slogan of change for his political interests, but the whole world is suffering from the effects of another change. At this time, climate, political, social and power changes at the global level are causing people problems. Globally, food shortages, epidemics like Corona and other problems have changed the situation to a great extent. Now the question is that even in such a modern era, why is the human being facing such problems? If efforts are not made to solve these problems soon, it is possible that this world will reach its annihilation.

The astonishing invention of artificial intelligence like ‘Chat GPT’, which has the ability to think and understand like human mind, has now turned the world in a different direction. Of course, this world is also now entering a new era. Now when the work done by humans will be taken by machines, where will humans go? There is no doubt that this is an admirable invention, but have we even thought about the negative effects caused by it? If you haven’t thought, there is still time to think. And appropriate steps can be taken. Apart from this, along with the development of machine learning, we also need to think about solving the above-mentioned problems, otherwise the global situation may suddenly turn into tension.

Now the need is that how do we adapt ourselves to these changes? One has to accept the situation and learn the proper use of new inventions and teach them to the next generation. To think in this age that we will leave technology and live in a remote village is the biggest folly. Let’s accept that even if we do this, our life will pass, but what will happen to our future generation? Therefore, avoiding them is not the solution to the problem, but it is important to get familiar with their proper use. If we do not do this, we will either be left far behind in this world or it is possible that instead of making artificial intelligence our slave, we ourselves will become its slave and this will be the first step towards our downfall.
