Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has announced that Imran Khan will contest the by-elections on the 33 vacant seats of the National Assembly.
According to Express News, a PTI core committee meeting was held at Imran Khan’s residence, Zaman Park, in which the increase in the prices of petroleum products and the treatment meted out to Fawad Chaudhry were strongly condemned.
In the meeting, there was a discussion regarding the caretaker government of Punjab and the by-elections on 33 constituencies of the National Assembly, including the by-elections to be held in the two provinces.
After the meeting, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Asad Umar while talking to the joint press media said that PTI will participate fully in the by-elections on 33 constituencies of the National Assembly and Imran Khan is the only candidate for all the seats. will
PTI Vice Chairman said that in the core committee meeting chaired by Imran Khan, the country’s situation and by-elections were also considered. Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that according to the constitution, elections should be held on dissolved assemblies within 90 days. By-elections are being held through political engineering.
He said that elections were held on July 17 on the baton of the police, but the people rejected them and stamped the baton, hoping that the nation would give a clear answer on March 16.
He said that in the by-election, the nation will once again say that it is with Imran Khan because it needs to get rid of the imported group that is causing economic destruction. The attempt to remove Imran Khan is in the mind of a section but the Chairman PTI. Allah’s power is with him and he will be a leader in the court of the people.
He said that after the dissolution of the assemblies, we have found the trust of the people, while the government has lost its credibility, the priority of those coming to power is to escape from their cases, they want to cover up their corruption, while we want the people to decide.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that everyone is seeing the treatment of Fawad Chaudhary, those who used to criticize Fawad in the past, today they are also with him on this issue, everyone has condemned his treatment.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi further said that we have no contact with the establishment, the president wanted us to find a way to implement the constitution, by-elections are being conducted through political engineering.
The General Secretary of PTI said that the resolution to take notice from the President against the statement of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that the date of election will be fixed by the agencies and the Election Commission was also approved, while concern has been expressed about the economic situation. A resolution has also been passed on the unemployment and deteriorating economic situation.
In the meeting, PTI presented a resolution regarding inflation and deteriorating economic situation, which was unanimously approved by the members. While Tehreek-e-Insaf appealed to the Chief Justice to take notice of the injustice done to Fawad Chaudhry and also demanded the President to take notice of the statement of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
