Karachi: The accused arrested by the SIU police have revealed that fake currency notes are in circulation in the city and most of the fake currency notes cannot be identified even under special light.

In the last few days, during the operation of the Special Investigation Unit, the arrested suspects involved in the inter-provincial smuggling of fake currency notes made important revelations during the investigation. I also cannot be identified.

According to police sources, the group of accused can make fake currency notes of many countries including dollar, Saudi riyal, pounds and dirham. The business of making fake currency notes is running from Peshawar. The name of Faizullah was also mentioned, the arrested accused told during investigation that fake currency notes were sold in Malir, Sarjani, Korangi, North Nazimabad and Lyari.

According to the investigation report, buying and selling of fake currency notes is also done through social media, women are also included in the group of accused, public transport is used for delivery of fake currency notes, the accused have 35 fake notes worth one lakh. They have been selling for thousands of rupees. During the investigation, the accused have also given the names of 21 associates involved in this dirty business, after which the Special Investigation Unit has widened the scope of the investigation.

It should be noted that the SIU police arrested 2 suspects Imran Khan son of Noor Shahbaz Khan and Shaheedullah Khan son of Muhammad Qadh Khan while conducting an operation near Korangi Bilal Colony on March 15 and recovered fake currency worth 3 lakhs and weapons from their possession. .
