Holding elections on April 30 is a violation of Article 124 of the Constitution, Petition
Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf challenged the April 30 by-elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The PTI members filed a petition in the Peshawar High Court and said that the election schedule has been issued on April 30 on NA 22, 24 and 31, elections cannot be held before 120 days before the general election.
He said that the government would have given the date within 120 days if elections were to be held.

The petition stated that holding elections on April 30 is a violation of Article 124 of the Constitution, by-elections will not only waste money but also deviate from the Constitution and many constitutional problems are likely to arise.
