Islamabad: The Pakistan Bar Council has filed a reference against Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi in the Supreme Judicial Council demanding an investigation into the allegations against Justice Mazahar.
According to Express News, after the alleged audio leaks of Supreme Court judge Justice Mazahir Ali Naqvi, the lawyers are demanding investigation and action against him. Earlier, references have also been filed against him in the Supreme Judicial Council. And today the Pakistan Bar has also formally demanded an investigation against him.

The Pakistan Bar Council has also filed a reference against Justice Mazahir Ali Naqvi in the Supreme Judicial Council today, demanding an investigation into the allegations against him.
It has been stated in the petition that serious allegations have been made against Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar, therefore, investigation of the allegations against him is necessary.

Earlier, a complaint has been filed in the Supreme Judicial Council against Justice Mazahir Naqvi on behalf of Muslim League (N) Lawyers Forum. On behalf of the lawyers, a complaint was filed against Justice Mazahir Naqvi based on the audio leak.
The lawyers have also included in the petition the transcript of Justice Mazahir Naqvi’s alleged conversation with former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi and have requested that Justice Mazahir Naqvi violated the Code of Conduct, under Article 209 against Justice Mazahir Naqvi. Action should be taken.
