Important demands have also come out from the organizers of Aurt March. The organizing committee of the Aurat March has demanded that all workers, whether they work in factories, farms or homes or are domestic workers as sanitation workers, should be given safe housing, quality education and affordability for themselves and their families. Adequate wages should be paid for access to health care.

“As a first step, we demand immediate implementation of minimum wage in all sectors and demand penalty under law for all elements who refuse it,” he said.

Awart March’s partner NGOs have also called for a reduction in military spending in the context of the country’s current situation, and as a first step, non-combat cuts to the military department such as golf clubs, There is lavish spending on gated housing schemes and the like that are wasting taxpayers’ money.

“We also demand a cut in extravagance and perks of bureaucrats and extraneous expenditure of civilian governments, especially in terms of unnecessary ministries and divisions at the federal and provincial levels,” he said. This money should be released to the public immediately, especially for the rehabilitation of flood affected families.
