Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar has said that the population of Karachi is not less than 40 million in any way, if the population of the city is counted as less than 40 million, we will not accept it.
Speaking to the media in Karachi, Farooq Sattar said that yesterday Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui met the Prime Minister and put his concerns regarding the census before him.
Farooq Sattar said that we reject the 16,000 blocks that have been built in Karachi, at least 25,000 blocks should be built in Karachi.
He said that the person living in Karachi who eats and earns here should also be counted in Karachi itself.
Farooq Sattar said that the actual phase of census has started from March 1, all political parties should inform the entire Pakistani nation.
Farooq Sattar said that complaints have been received that the enumerators are being asked not to count children under 5 years of age.
He said that apart from MQM, no political party showed interest in the census.
The leader of MQM Pakistan said that all parties are active in contesting the elections, unfortunately no political party is active in the census.
Farooq Sattar also said that PPP has nothing to do with the census process.
