Quetta: Four citizens who were using heaters to avoid the severe cold died on Jan Muhammad Road in Balochistan.
According to rescue sources, citizens who were sleeping with heaters on to avoid the cold on Jan Muhammad Road in Quetta died due to gas leakage.
On receiving the information about the incident, rescue volunteers reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies to the civil hospital.
On the other hand, the wave of dry frost continues in Quetta due to which the temperature has dropped below the freezing point and standing water has also frozen on the roads while the taps in the houses have frozen due to which the citizens are worried.
According to the Department of Meteorology, during the last 24 hours, the temperature was recorded as minus four in Quetta, minus seven in Kalat and minus six in Ziarat.
