Quetta: On the basis of intelligence sources, Pakistan Coast Guards recovered 5490 kg of chalia, 533 packets of gutka and 591 sticks of foreign cigarettes from the passenger coach coming from Quetta to Karachi while checking at Windar on the Quetta-Karachi highway.
According to Express News, Pakistan Coast Guards, acting on the basis of secret sources, while conducting an operation on the Quetta-Karachi Highway at Vander, recovered 5490 kg of chalia, 533 packets of gutka and 591 sticks of foreign cigarettes from a passenger coach coming from Quetta to Karachi.
12 illegal immigrants arrested
Besides, 12 illegal immigrants were arrested from different passenger coaches at Gwadar (Balochistan) Panwan check post. All these people were trying to go to Iran from Pakistan illegally without any legal documents and transit. After the initial investigation, all the persons were handed over to the FIA authorities for further investigation and other legal proceedings.
The spokesperson of Pakistan Coast Guards has said that Pakistan Coast Guards reiterates that such operations will continue in the future to rid the beloved country of the scourge of smuggling and to achieve this goal. Therefore, all available resources will be fully utilized.
