London: Scientists have claimed to have discovered a cure for bone cancer called osteosarcoma through immunotherapy.
According to details, researchers have developed a new type of immunotherapy that can be helpful in treating bone cancer.

There are around 160 new cases of bone cancer in the UK each year, but it is the most common bone cancer in young people, affecting up to 1.5 million patients.
Researchers have found in mice that a small subset of immune cells called gamma-delta T cells may provide an effective and inexpensive solution to cancer.
These immune cells are those that can be made from the immune cells of a healthy donor and can be safely transferred from one person to another without any risk. This new treatment delivery platform is called OPS-Gamma-Delta T.
Current immunotherapies such as CAR-T cells use a patient’s own immune cells and improve their anti-cancer properties, said Dr Jonathan Fisher, head of the UCL research team.
