A study has found that the presence of fine plastic particles in the blood can increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
According to this research published in the Medical Journal Environmental International, these fine particles found in human blood can be dangerous for human health.
For the study, the researchers took blood samples from 20 healthy people. Very fine plastic and chemical particles were found in the samples of 18 of them.
The exposed particles were transparent and smaller than one micrometer (1000 micrometers = one millimeter).
The research found that these particles move in the body and get stored in different parts.
Experts have warned that plastic particles can cause blood clots in the body, increase inflammation, weaken the immune system and cause other diseases.
