Quetta: An attempt to smuggle drugs worth billions of rupees in Gwadar was foiled.

Pakistan Coast Guards foiled a drug smuggling attempt worth billions of rupees by recovering 273 kg of high quality drugs in a major operation in Marine Drive area of ​​Gwadar.

According to the spokesman, the Pakistan Coast Guards had received information from confidential sources that there is a possibility of high-value drugs being smuggled through the sea.

The area commander formed mobile patrol parties and started surveillance of the suspicious places and during the operation at Jhanda Post (Marine Drive) 273 kg of high quality meth ice was recovered hidden in the secret compartments of the suspicious boat.

The global market value of the seized drugs is estimated to be around $54.3 million.
