Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has completed preparations to present the budget for the next financial year.
According to the details, an assembly meeting has been called on May 24 at 3 pm to present the budget for the new fiscal year 2025-2024 of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Before this, the Cabinet meeting to approve the budget will also be held on May 24, after which it should be presented in the Assembly. In the cabinet meeting, the annual development program, finance bill and recommendations of the provincial finance commission will be approved.
Provincial Finance Minister Aftab Alam said that for the first time in the country’s history, the provincial government is going to present the budget before the federal government. It is hoped that the opposition will discuss the budget positively instead of criticizing it.
