Quetta: Balochistan government has decided to restore Youth Facilitation Centers for the welfare of the youth, while Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti has said that guidance is very important to steer the youth in the right direction.
According to the details, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, the review meeting of Balochistan Youth Policy 2024 was held on Thursday in the Chief Minister Secretariat, in which Member National Assembly Nawabzada Jamal Khan Raisani, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister. Imran Zirkoon, Special Secretary Isfandiar Baloch, Secretary Youth Affairs Javed Anwar Shahwani, Chairperson of Commission on Status of Women Balochistan Fauzia Shaheen and the concerned judges participated.
In the meeting, a briefing was given by Secretary Youth Affairs Javed Anwar Shahwani and a policy consultant while deciding to activate Youth Facilitation Centers in Balochistan and approving the allocation of initial funds.
The Chief Minister while expressing his opinion in the meeting said that it is important to guide the youth in the right direction, therefore the Balochistan Youth Policy should be formulated according to the needs of the youth of the province and gender equality should be kept in mind in the policy.
He said that provision of opportunities to utilize the talents of the youth should be part of the policy, emphasizing the need to ensure the consultation of all stakeholders in the youth policy and expressed the hope that the youth of Balochistan The policy will prove to be a reflection of the effective representation of the youth of the province.
He appreciated the efforts of Member of National Assembly and former Provincial Minister of Youth Affairs Nawabzada Jamal Khan Raisani for the proposals and special interest related to youth policy and directed to prepare a draft based on comprehensive recommendations in 10 days with his consultation.
