Karachi: Students of National University of Science and Technology (NUST) have developed Pakistan’s first Hybrid Formula Car.

The ceremony of Hybrid Bird Formula Car developed by NEST students was held in Karachi, which was attended by Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesuri as chief guest, besides Commodore Tauqeer Ahmed Commandant PNEC NEST.

The NUST student car will charge the car with fuel to accelerate the car, which will protect the environment and give the car extra power for speed, and the formula car will be presented at the FSUK World Competition in July.

The team leader Muhammad Umar said that the Hybrid Bird Formula Car developed by the students of NEST will make the name of NEST and Pakistan shine in the world.

He said that this is not a car but a milestone in the field of engineering in Pakistan, proud to represent Pakistan at the global level, supporting other universities and schools in projects of this type of vehicles.

The team lead said that the Hybrid Formula car will compete in this year’s student world championships in the UK.

NAST Commandant Commodore Tawqir Ahmad said that the institute has a illustrious history of 6 decades, offering degrees in artificial intelligence, data science and naval architecture along with traditional engineering fields.

He said that various activities are conducted to develop the personality of the students and highlight their professional skills and currently the students of the institute are working on four car projects.

Commodore Tauqeer Ahmad said that this is the first Formula Car of Pakistan which will run on Hybrid, the design of this car was developed in 2012.

On this occasion, the Governor of Sindh said in his address that the efforts of the youth of Pakistan will make Pakistanis proud. I congratulate the parents and teachers of the students.

He said that such students should also be included in the national awards held once a year.

Governor Sindh announced that gold medal will be awarded to the team that built the first hybrid formula car.
