Islamabad: NAB’s report regarding the Presidential Immunity of the President was submitted to the court.
The hearing of the Thatta water supply reference against President Asif Ali Zardari and others was held in the Accountability Court Islamabad, in which the NAB report was submitted to the court.
The NAB report said that under Article 248 of the Constitution, the President has presidential immunity from cases.
Lawyer President Zardari Arshad Tabriz Advocate said that a request for presidential immunity has been filed on behalf of President Asif Zardari, NAB was supposed to submit a response today.
Former Secretary Ejaz Ahmad Khan, Ali Akbar, Ejaz Memon, Ali Akbar Abro, Khwaja Abdul Ghani Majeed, Munahal Majeed, Abdul Nadeem Bhutto and others are also included in the accused. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till May 21.
