1457 traffic accidents during 24 hours in Punjab;  16 people died

Lahore: 16 people died and 1580 were injured in 1457 traffic accidents in Punjab province during the last 24 hours.

National news agency ‘APP’ quoted the spokesman of Rescue as saying that according to the emergency calls received by the Provincial Monitoring Cell of Rescue 1122, 812 drivers, 55 minor drivers, 594 passengers and 190 pedestrians were affected in these traffic accidents.

Similarly, 306 phone calls of traffic accidents were received in Lahore control room. In which the provincial capital was first with 315 victims, Gujranwala was second with 109 victims in 105 accidents and Faisalabad was third with 98 victims in 88 accidents.
