The Sikh youth of Lahore started arranging rations and employment for white-clad families

Lahore: While the Sikh citizens living in Lahore organize iftar and langar every year in Ramadan, there is a Sikh youth who is organizing ration and employment for dozens of white-clad poor families in this holy month.

Sardar Jitendra Singh is a Hakim by profession but also actively participates in social service activities.
Speaking to Express News, Sardar Jitender Singh said that he used to live in Peshawar but now he is permanently residing in Lahore. The series of humanitarian service which he started in Peshawar continues in Lahore as well.

Sardar Jitendersingh says that he buys rations for four to five families every day during Ramadan and they keep the rations at the doorsteps of these families in the dark of night so that their whiteness remains.

According to Sardar Jitinder Singh, he has distributed rations to thousands of families so far, he also said that apart from rations, he arranges permanent employment for these families so that they don’t have to worry about anyone, make someone a grocery store. If they give, they provide a sewing machine to someone. There are many women who have made clothes business at home.

He said that they do this work without any religion or sect division, including every Sikh who does business or is a jobber, he separates one-tenth of his income every month. With this fund they help the poor and deserving people and do that as humanity because humanity is the greatest religion.

Zakia Bibi, a resident of Lyton Road, Lahore, said that her husband has been in bed for a long time due to stroke, Sardar Jitinder Singh is not only treating her husband for free but also providing ration for her family during Ramadan. Also arranged. He himself left the ration at the door of his house.

Another elder Muhammad Ashraf said that Sardar Ji had built a small shop for him, thanks to Allah, today he is supporting himself and his children.

Citizens say that people like Jitender Singh are doing what the government should do, the government is taking a picture even while giving a bag of flour, but they have not made a video or a picture of anyone, they are helping silently.

Like Jitender Singh, Sardar Darshan Singh also organizes iftar and langar for hundreds of people every day in Lahore’s Liberty Market.
Sardar Darshan Singh says that this table is not only for Muslims who are fasting, but for everyone who is hungry, laborers, unemployed, non-Muslims all sit on this table.
