Shadowing: A woman in China has been falling asleep listening to music through headphones every night for two years, and now her hearing is permanently damaged.
According to media reports, Miss Wang, a young woman from Shandong province, works as a secretary in a local company. Recently, she realized that she was having trouble hearing and went to a nearby hospital for an ear examination.
They told doctors that when their supervisor addresses them during meetings, they do not hear him properly.
The doctor conducted a thorough examination of the woman from which it was found that the woman’s left ear was damaged due to which she could not hear properly.
When asked by doctors if they have had an accident or have had loud noises in their ears for a long time? To which Ms. Wang said that she slept every night listening to music with headphones on her ears.
“When I was in college, I used to love to fall asleep listening to music,” she said. It has become a habit and I have been doing it for almost two years.
Fortunately, only her left ear is affected, but she will now have to wear a hearing aid for the rest of her life to hear better.
