Islamabad: The nomination papers of Asif Ali Zardari, the joint presidential candidate of the coalition parties, and Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the presidential candidate of the Sunni Etihad Council, have been approved.

The Chief Election Commissioner scrutinized the nomination papers of Asif Zardari and Sunni Ittehad Council presidential candidate Mahmood Khan Achakzai.

The Chief Election Commissioner approved the nomination papers of Asif Zardari. Another presidential candidate, Asghar Ali Mubarak, objected to the nomination papers of Mehmood Khan Achakzai, on which the Chief Election Commissioner reserved his decision on the approval of the nomination papers of Mahmood Khan Achakzai.

Later, the Election Commission displayed the list of candidates for the presidential election, according to which the nomination papers of Asif Zardari and Mahmood Khan Achakzai were approved, while the papers of all other candidates were rejected.

In the objections to the nomination papers submitted for the presidency of Mahmood Khan Achakzai, it was said that Mahmood Achakzai deviated from the constitution of Pakistan by making statements against the establishment and institutions on the assembly floor. Rs were taken, so their nomination papers should be rejected.

Farooq Naik said that no objection was raised on the nomination papers of Asif Zardari. We have full numbers, Asif Zardari will be elected president for the second time.

It should be noted that the joint presidential candidate of Muslim League-N, People’s Party, Stability Pakistan Party, Muslim League-Q, Balochistan Awami Party, Awami National Party is Asif Ali Zadarari, while the candidate of PTI-Sunni Alliance Council is Mahmood Khan Achakzai.

The coalition parties have the upper hand due to the large majority in the House, while JUI and MQM have not yet taken any decision not to vote for any candidate in the presidential election.
