Measles is a viral infection that starts in the ‘respiratory tract’ (respiratory tract), a highly contagious disease that usually affects children.

Vaccination:
The most effective way to prevent measles is vaccination.
Medical experts recommend that all children receive the MMR vaccine against the disease.
In most countries, children are given 2 doses of the vaccine for strong immunity.
According to experts, two doses are 97% effective against the virus.
In some countries, vaccination against chicken pox is also combined with the MMR vaccine (measles vaccine).
Other Tips:
Avoid going to crowded places to avoid infection during measles outbreaks, say experts.
Do not ignore the symptoms of measles and seek immediate medical attention.
Avoid any contact with infected persons who have shown symptoms of infection.
Frequent hand washing with soap and water can help prevent the spread of the virus.
