Quetta: A shutter down strike is going on across Balochistan including Quetta on behalf of political parties against the alleged rigging in the general elections.
BNP, National Party, Pashtun Khawa Milli Awami Party, Hazara Democratic Party called for a strike across the province including the provincial capital against the alleged rigging during the general elections. And business centers are closed.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Bar Council and Anjuman Tajran have also supported the shutterdown strike. During the strike, sit-ins are also being held at various places in Balochistan on the allegations of rigging and altering the election results.
In Nushki, people are protesting against election rigging and changing the results. Business centers, shops and shopping centers are closed due to complete shutterdown strike in Nushki on the call of 4-party alliance.
The ongoing protest by the Balochistan National Party has entered its third day, due to which the national highway is blocked.
Pashtunkhawa map in Chaman, shutter down on strike call by ANP. Various political parties have been staging sit-ins in front of the DRO office for the past 5 days, while banks, passport offices, NADRA offices, and post offices across the city are also completely closed for the second day today.
Asghar Khan Achakzai, provincial president of ANP, says that until the result on Form 45 is declared, the protest will continue.
