Sending the summary of army deployment in the general elections to the federal cabinet

Islamabad: The summary of army deployment in the general elections has been sent to the federal cabinet.

According to Express News, the Ministry of Interior has sent the summary of deployment of the army as a quick response force in the general elections in the country on February 8 to the federal cabinet.

After the summary is approved by the caretaker federal cabinet, the army will be deployed as a quick response force in the general elections.

It should be noted that the Election Commission had also written a letter to deploy the army during the elections, in which 277,000 personnel were called for, including Pakistan Army, Rangers and FC personnel.

On the other hand, the Election Commission says that the preparations for the elections on February 8 are complete in the country, while the caretaker Federal Minister of Information also said yesterday that all the rumors regarding the holding of the elections have died down. The general elections in the country will be held at their scheduled time.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has frozen the development funds of local and cantonment boards across the country. The Election Commission has stopped the release of development funds of the local bodies of Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Kent Boards till the completion of the elections.

The notification states that the local bodies will only carry out day-to-day affairs and sanitation work till the election but cannot launch or tender for new schemes. The development works which were announced before the release of the general election schedule will also continue.
