Quetta: An appeal was filed in the Supreme Court against the approval of Jamal Raisani’s nomination papers.

BNP nominee Ghulam Nabi Murri filed an appeal against Jamal Raisani from NA 264 Quetta, in which he took the stand that Jamal Khan Raisani was part of the caretaker cabinet and therefore he is not eligible to contest the elections.

The petition said that if this precedent is established, the members of the caretaker cabinet will resign and contest the elections a day or two before the release of the election schedule, in which case the transparency of the elections may be affected.
