Quetta: The Election Tribunal annulled the decision of the RO Baloch leader Sardar Akhtar Mengal was allowed to contest the elections.
According to Express News, BNP chief Akhtar Khan Mengal had submitted his nomination papers from NA 264 Quetta for the elections, the Returning Officer (RO) rejected his papers on the basis of Dubai Iqama.
Akhtar Mengal filed an appeal in the Election Tribunal against the decision, today his appeal was accepted. The Election Tribunal consisting of Justice Hashim Kakar heard the appeal and annulled the decision of the RO and allowed him to contest the election.
