Karachi: The Sindh High Court has also sought a report from the Federal Ministry of Interior on the applications related to the recovery of more than 10 people who have been missing for a long time.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Nimatullah Phalphato heard the petitions related to the recovery of more than ten people who had been missing for a long time.
Justice Nimatullah Phalphoto inquired from the police officers that how many JITs have been conducted for the missing citizen. Police officers said that 16 JITs and PTF sessions have been held.
The petitioner’s lawyer stated that the state of Allah, who has been missing for 9 years, has not been found yet.
The police submitted a progress report. The investigating officer said that the case of Jashatullah has been included in the category of enforced disappearance.
The petitioner said that it has been 9 years, our conditions are very bad, we are not even getting a job. Wajid Hussain has been missing for 7 years, please do something. When the law is there, why are they kidnapped? Even if it takes 50 years, we will continue to come to court and will continue to come to court as long as we are alive.
The court summoned the SP investigation for the next hearing and adjourned the hearing till January 30, seeking a report from the Federal Ministry of Interior.
