Karachi: FIA Immigration arrested a foreign passenger while conducting an operation at Karachi Airport. The visa pages of the accused’s passport were tampered with.
According to FIA spokesperson, the arrested accused Naeem Akhtar belongs to Hafizabad.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the accused went to Nigeria on a Pakistani passport and a genuine visa, where he tried to travel to Italy by obtaining an Italian visa from the agent. The accused had obtained a visa to Italy for Rs 22 lakh.
The accused came from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia and then to Pakistan due to having a fake visa, while on reaching Saudi Arabia, the accused tore up the fake visa on his passport.
The spokesman says that the accused has been transferred to Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi for further legal action.
