Lahore: In the investigation into the death of a citizen in the cage of a tiger in Bahawalpur Zoo, an attempt is being made to put all the debris on the deceased citizen.

By calling the citizen who became the food of the tigers in the zoo as a drug addict and criminal, an attempt is being made to prove that the citizen entered the cage of the tigers by mistake and became their food, but this aspect is not discussed. It is being said that this matter is a clear incompetence of the zoo administration and also a failure of security. Despite the fact that there are more than 86 employees in the zoo, the body of a citizen being recovered from the cage of the lions is a question mark on the efficiency of the zoo administration.

According to sources, funds of Rs 22 crore were released to improve security arrangements, upgrade animal facilities, including installation of closed-circuit cameras, but cameras are installed only at the entrance gate of the zoo. Sources also say that zoo curator Ali Usman is highly liked by the higher officials. Several inquiries were also made against him regarding corruption in animal feed and other charges, but he escaped.

Ali Usman currently has 7 positions. He is simultaneously posted under the responsibility of Deputy Director Chashma Baraj Mianwali, Deputy Director Wildlife Bahawalpur Division, Curator Bahawalpur Zoo, Assistant Director Wildlife Bahawalpur, Assistant Director Wildlife Rahim Yar Khan, Assistant Director Wildlife Bahawalnagar, Assistant Director Wildlife Lal Sohanra. Due to which he has not been able to show better performance in any place.

According to wildlife sources, Ali Usman is a hard-working and capable officer, but due to 7 responsibilities at the same time, he is not able to show his performance. Where Ali Usman is accused of laziness and incompetence in zoo affairs, he is also accused of In Cholistan, they are also hunting rare Chinkara deer and have appointed special wildlife inspectors for this purpose. Those who disobey their orders regarding poaching are threatened with departmental action.

Yesterday, an inspector on duty in Cholistan Wildlife Force and 5 wildlife watchers were posted on night duty at Bahawalpur Zoo. Several attempts were made to contact Curator Ali Usman regarding the incident at Bahawalpur Zoo and he was asked to provide details in a voice message on WhatsApp, but he did not respond.

When the Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi was asked about the incident at Bahawalpur Zoo while talking to the media at the Lahore Safari Zoo, he said that it was not a security failure and it was not the fault of any officer but it was the fault of Murniwale himself. It is the mistake of the one who entered the cage of lions. Meanwhile, caretaker information minister Amir Mir, who was sitting with the chief minister, said that the dead man entered the tiger cage by placing a ladder.

Public and social circles say that if a person enters the cage of the zoo by placing a ladder and the Chief Minister says that it is not a failure of security, then tomorrow someone will try to harm the cage of lions and other animals. If their food is poisoned or someone steals something, then who will be responsible? Instead of supporting the CM curator, take action against him.
