Karachi: The Sindh High Court ordered to block the identity card of Director SBCA Central in the illegal construction case.
On a petition against the construction of illegal multi-storied building in Federal B Area Block 12, the Sindh High Court ordered to block the National Identity Card of Director SBCA Central and submit a report by demolishing the illegal floor.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Nadeem Akhtar heard a petition against the construction of an illegal multi-storied building in FB Area Block 12. Build by addition. Builder Azadar Zaidi and others constructed a 9 storied illegal building in Plot No. BS One Block 12 FB Area.
The court was angry with the SBCA officials for not taking action despite the orders. Justice Nadeem Akhtar, while giving observations on the unjustified appointments and notifications of SBC employees and officers, remarked that this is what is happening in every case. The officer who orders the action is replaced. Another officer comes and says, I have just received the charge.
Justice Nadeem Akhtar said that we are ordering now that no officer will be changed without the permission of the court. We are not being allowed to do our work. Now no officer shall be changed without the permission of the court. I had ordered the action after the inspection in 7 days, why didn’t I do it? The court cleared the Deputy Director SBCA Ihtesham.
During the hearing, Deputy Director Ehtesham said that I received the search on November 29. I promise that the order of the court will be implemented, on which the court said that do not fire verbally, tell me what we will do with you today? The court warned the SBCA officials and remarked that if they do not act now, they will face contempt of court proceedings.
The court ordered to block the National Identity Card of Director SBCA Central. The court remarked that until the illegal portion of the building is demolished, the identity card of the Director SBCA will remain blocked. The court ordered to demolish the illegal floor and submit a report on December 18.
