Iran’s foreign minister has canceled his visit to India, angered by the video controversy.
According to foreign media, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian was to come to India to participate in the Rai-Sina Dialogue scheduled for March 3-4.
According to reports, Rai Sena Dialogue is a major think tank program organized by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs.
According to Indian media, a promotional video of the Roy Sena Dialogue was released about a month ago announcing the 2023 edition of the event.
The two-minute clip showed Iranian women cutting their hair during protests for 2 seconds, along with an image of the Iranian president.
According to reports, Iran expressed its deep displeasure over these photos and canceled the foreign minister’s proposed visit to India.
It should be remembered that in September last year in Iran, 22-year-old Mahsa Amini was detained by the police for wearing an inappropriate hijab and died in custody, since then protests have continued in Iran.
