Islamabad: Pakistan-US talks on Afghan situation will be held in Islamabad next week.

According to sources, US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West will visit Pakistan next week, a high-level delegation will also accompany him.

The issue of 25,000 Afghans working in the US working in Pakistan will be discussed, while the evacuation of illegal immigrants in Pakistan will also be discussed.

There will be discussions on the use of Afghan soil for terrorism against Pakistan, there will be consultations on the strategy of complete elimination of TTP and other terrorist organizations. The US special representative will hold meetings with the Pakistani leadership.

Spokesperson of Foreign Office Mumtaz Zahra Baloch has said in her statement that consultations are going on between Pakistan and America on several issues, visits are also exchanged to advance this consultation process and in this context important American officials will meet in the coming days. There are also visits to Pakistan.

The spokesperson said that Assistant Secretary for Population, Refugees and Migration Juliet Wallace Noyes will visit Pakistan from December 4 to 6, while Tom West, Special Representative for Afghanistan, will visit Islamabad from December 7 to 9. Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Elizabeth Horst will visit from December 9 to 12.

Spokesperson of the Foreign Office said that these visits are part of ongoing negotiations with the US on several issues, including the situation in Afghanistan, but these visits are not limited to issues with Afghanistan.
