According to ASF, the crew recovered 1.901 kg of heroin from the Jeddah-bound passenger
Karachi: Airport Security Force foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs from Karachi to Jeddah by taking action at Jinnah International Airport.
According to ASF spokesperson, the crew recovered 1.901 kg of heroin from the Jeddah-bound passenger. The passenger, Abrar Rahul, had cleverly hidden the heroin in soap sticks inside his bag.
During the search, the staff of Airport Security Force A discovered the presence of drugs and foiled the smuggling attempt. After initial investigation, the accused was handed over to ANF authorities for further legal action along with the recovered drugs.
Apart from this, ANF’s operations against drug trafficking are also ongoing across the country, during which 14 suspects, including 5 women, have been arrested after recovering more than 241 kg of drugs in 14 operations.
According to the spokesman, one kilogram of 942 grams of ice was recovered from the woman’s bag at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore. The accused resident of Karachi was leaving for Bahrain by flight number GF-0767.
On the other hand, the passenger along with the woman who was going to Qatar by flight number QR-617 was arrested at Multan International Airport. 855 grams of ice has been recovered from the bag of the accused, a resident of Sahiwal. Meanwhile, 995 grams of ice was recovered from the passenger’s trolley bag at Bacha Khan International Airport. The accused, a resident of Peshawar, was leaving for Doha by flight number QR-601.
One kilogram of ice was recovered from 2 suspects, residents of Sahiwal, near Chongi No. 26, located in the federal capital, Islamabad. 500 grams of hashish and 250 grams of ice were recovered from the woman’s possession near Chongi No. 26.
22 kg 800 grams of hashish was recovered from the possession of 2 women from Orangi Town area in Karachi. The accused has been arrested after recovering 9 kg 600 grams of hashish from a vehicle near Patuki Toll Plaza Multan. 3 kg of heroin and 1 kg of ice were recovered from the accused in a bus near Kamilpur Interchange, Faisalabad.
2 suspects were arrested after recovering 46 kg 800 grams hashish from a truck near Chiragabad Interchange Faisalabad. 3 kg 600 grams of hashish was recovered from the accused riding a motorcycle near the terminal of the private bus company Okara. Meanwhile, 19 kg hashish has been recovered during 2 different operations in Zakhakhel Khyber.
80 kg hashish hidden for smuggling was recovered in uninhabited area of Panjgur in Balochistan. Apart from this, 50 kg of hashish hidden in the area of Pisni Road Turbat has been recovered.
ANF has registered cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act against the arrested accused and started investigation.
